RE: Daily Digest June 12, 2005

I see no need for an operating statement to be produced, the fact the DD comes out every day, as nobody else in the group seem able to do, is enough. Notice when Joe is gone, there is no DD. Joe even will phone you and discuss the issues with you, or provide guidance as to where to find more information on an issue.

I don't think Joe is looking at creating an industry, as it seems his extended family is drawing him to a new career that keeps him busy when he has free time from producing the DD.

On the other hand if you have a life long job as appointed 'reader between the lines,' at the CPC I can see the point to your questions. It is interesting that a party such as the Reform/Alliance who started out encouraging grass roots engagement of Canadians in the political system would be then threatened by just that. Don't look outside for the threats to the success of the party, look inward.

The DD is an organic entity that grows in directions that its submitters and writers encourage or entice it in.

If people do not agree with the DD, Joe, or the posters on the DD, then anyone has a simple solution. Unsubscribe to it.

If you do not want to support Joe, with dough, then don't.

Much like voting. If you don't like the government don't vote for them. It would seem though, that the majority of Canadians right now do not support the CPC or Harper and are doing so by stating so in polls.

Its called a freedom of choice.
